When we met with Valerie she was on her break from the hospital. Both her and David are doctors and with a super busy schedule, they needed help. With a brief which was nice and simple, along the lines of modern and refined (something dear to our hearts) we went with a design of… Modern minimalism, contemporary meets earthy, curves meets lines, bold meets neutral. Romantic.
The results were a classic colour palette of crisp whites in contrast with sage, dusty pinks and light greys. We carried this through all the way from the invites printed on duplexed ribbed textured stock, to the textural floral arrangements, ribbed candles, to the dining and lounge decor.
With Le Ciel as the venue we were working essentially with a blank canvas… another opportunity to weave our magic completely transporting a space where it is able to tell it’s own story.
Guests were welcomed on Level 5 with a feature bar and cocktails, stunning city views and chill out lounge pieces on which to enjoy, where they then were welcomed on Level 6 for a sit down feast catered by the amazing Fourside Events with yet another feature bar. Beautiful blooms, the most comfiest sage green dining chairs and plenty of candlelight made for THE most intimate romantic dinner setting… before heading back downstairs for more cocktails and dancing!
