THE LOOK, THE FEEL, THE VIBE
N&S’s Two-Day, Five Event Wedding at the Stones of Yarra Valley.
Just ten weeks out from their big day, we received an email asking for help with “everything” for an upcoming Indian wedding in the Yarra Valley. Little did we know- everything truly meant everything!
With guests flying in from across the globe, we brought to life an intimate yet elaborate celebration across five unique events over two days, each infused with tradition, colour, and a whole lot of love. From pandits to turban tying, dohl and trumpet players, car hire, phoolon ki chaddar, outfit steaming (over 80 outfits!), henna artists, dance lessons, custom guest hampers, Indian catering, transport coordination, hair and makeup, florals, lighting, entertainment, custom designed stationery right down to the guest luggage tags, styling multiple ceremonies, luncheons, dinners – not a detail was spared or too difficult.
Hosted at the breathtaking Stones of the Yarra Valley, the celebration was a seamless blend of cultural richness, personal touches and unforgettable moments.
The Mehendi – A vibrant, joy- filled afternoon where guests were greeted with the sounds of the dhol, warm chai, Indian sweets and savouries, music, games, and endless bursts of colour. Not even the cool Yarra Valley air could dampen the energy of this heartwarming welcome celebration.
The Sangeet – An intimate, luxurious evening of candlelight, candelabras, velvet textures, deep red roses – and of course, dancing! Family and friends took the dance floor with heartfelt lively performances.
The Hindu Ceremony – Despite a crisp 11 degrees, the sun shone for this traditional and emotionally rich ceremony. The Groom arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce, accompanied by a trumpet and two dohl players, a Baraat filled with energy and colour and then in a modern twist, the Bride had her own Baraat… before making her way to Mandap beneath her phoolon ki chaddar. The ceremony featured the saptapadi, kanyadaan, sindoor and mangal sutra, witnessed by their closet loved ones.
The Civil Ceremony – Keeping the celebration inclusive and meaningful, S&N held a second ceremony in the iconic Chapel at Stones. Elegant and intimate, it was the perfect continuation of their love story.
Guests then gathered for a relaxed long lunch with live Italian music – perfectly suited to the Tuscan charm of the venue. Later that evening, the celebration concluded just minutes away at Levantine Hill, with a fabulous Indian feast as the final send-off.
It was a whirlwind few weeks – intense, exciting, and incredibly fulfilling. Helping one of the most generous, fun-loving couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with create something so meaningful, was truly an honour.
