COMPLETE EVENT PLANNING, CONCEPT DESIGN & STYLING

Hold onto your seats, this was a big one!
We were invited to style 3 different spaces for the 2019 Australian Open in the newly constructed Player Pod at Rod Laver Arena.

The Player Cafes within are exclusive dining areas for the tournament’s players, entourage and general player clientele.

The Melbourne cafe space emulated the edgy, relaxed Melbourne coffee/cafe laneway experience whilst integrating iconic Melbourne references.

For the Japanese space, it was all about Shibui/Shibumi; a Japanese term meaning beautiful by being understated, or by being precisely what it was meant to be and not elaborated upon.
Integrating light wood tones, mixed with deeper rich tones. Modern quirky elements introduced through graphic decals. Nods to traditional cultural with the inclusion of large potted red maple trees, a feature Bonsai, a traditional entry curtain & a collection of Japanese ceramics.

Last up was the rooftop terrace, summery lounge vibes in comfort!

“On behalf of the Team at Tennis Australia, I would like to say a very BIG thank you for the amazing job you did in the Player Café on both level 3 and 4 at the Australian Open. Both areas met the brief and complimented the offerings within the spaces, Lettuce & Co set the benchmark for the other areas within the zone. You were great to work with and showed lots of passion, commitment and flexibility around the late changes.  Your professional and can do attitude was very much appreciated and noted.”
