THE LOOK, THE FEEL, THE VIBE
Where Manhattan meets Melbourne… this New York-style jazz night felt like stepping into a pocket of time. Guests arrived beneath a glowing neon sign and through the doors of The Trust, descending into an atmosphere of smooth vocals and heavy bass.
Inside, sunlight filtered through tall windows onto amber lamps and small round tables before giving way to moody late-night tones and shadows stretching across panelled walls as the evening unfolded. The clink of glasses, murmur of conversation and a band playing on a feature stage without barriers created an up-close experience, a sense that jazz never really sleeps.
Warm ambient tones washed over velvet lounges and dusty blue ottomans, inviting guests to settle in. Every corner was designed for lingering, whether sinking into a seat with a cocktail or gathering around bar tables and chess sets. Custom blue velvet pool tables added a playful edge, inviting guests to play, watch and connect as cards were dealt, conversations flowed and the night unfolded to the smooth pulse of jazz.
In a night of surprises, a live sketch artist captured moments in real time while tap dancers moved through the crowd, their crisp rhythms echoing the pulse of the band and turning the room into their stage. As the jazz gave way to the sound of a saxophone, guests drifted from lounges to the dance floor, bringing the room to life in a different way.
As the night drew to a close, it felt less like an ending and more like the anticipation of returning for another event later this year.
