Nestled beneath the famous Regent Theatre, the Plaza Ballroom offered the perfect backdrop for a night inspired by a snowy wintery landscape in St Moritz.

Guests were greeted by low-lying fog, silver velvet draping, and Christmas spruce lined staircases, setting the scene for the winter spectacle ahead.

A show stopping 5-metre-high, 10-metre-wide drape installation served as the central feature, bringing both dimension and drama to the room. Flocked fir Christmas trees, ambient lighting and carefully curated décor completed the festive wintery scene. Over 40 dining tables were set with white lanterns, pinecones, luxe bonbons, and traditional Christmas puddings at each setting for guests to take home.

The lounge area channeled an alpine escape, with sheepskin throws, soft furnishings, lanterns and lifelike reindeer, echoing the charm of a ski chalet retreat.

Overhead, custom gobo snowflakes danced across the walls and ceilings, wrapping the room in a flurry of winter magic — proving you don’t need to travel to the snowfields to experience a true Winter Wonderland, right here in the heart of Melbourne.
