COMPLETE WEDDING PLANNING, CONCEPT DESIGN & STYLING

We must have struck a chord with the mother of soon to be bride Janine. She had been a guest at a recent wedding which we had planned and styled giving her (good) reason to contact us to chat about how we could do it all again.

The only brief being it was to be a colourful yet intimate wedding at their home. So the planning began.

With an 8 week lead time, it was all systems go to secure all things weddings. From the photographer, hair and makeup artist, caterer, marquee, furniture and hospitality hire, to the florist and stationery and all that comes in between.

Our styling direction was to keep it minimal. Relaxed yet elegant. And to tie in Janine’s love for natives and bold reds and purples.

Finally, the day arrives. It’s a curse of ours that with any outdoor event, the skies not only open and give us anything but blue skies and sunshine, we get rain and on this occasion, we had one of Melbourne’s worst forecasted days where local weather warnings for a severe storm had been broadcasted. As a result, events were being cancelled all around us. However, there was no way we were cancelling a wedding. And glad we didn’t. It was perfect.

Starting with what was going to be a garden ceremony which was brought indoors and held in the indoor pool room which had already been transformed into the dance floor.

Let’s just say that we are the champs at planning outdoor events – Melbourne weather, YOU DON’T SCARE US!
